Troubleshooting Portal Access (For Parents & Guardians)

Step-by-step help for parents and guardians who can't log in, aren't receiving their magic link, or are having trouble accessing forms in the August Schools family portal.

If you're having trouble accessing the August Schools family portal, this article walks through the most common issues and how to fix them.


I'm not receiving my login link (magic link)

August Schools uses a magic link to log in β€” there's no password to remember. When you enter your email, a secure one-time login link is sent to your inbox.

If you're not seeing it:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from notifications@[schoolname].augustschools.com

  2. Make sure you're using the correct email address β€” it must match the email your school has on file for you. If you're unsure which email was used, contact your school's health office directly.

  3. Wait up to 2–3 minutes and try requesting a new link. Magic links expire after 15 minutes.

  4. Try a different browser or device if the link isn't opening correctly.

I can't log in even with the correct email

If the portal isn't accepting your email or the magic link doesn't work:

  1. Try a different browser (Chrome works best) or open the link in an incognito/private window.

  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.

  3. If you have multiple email addresses, try each one β€” the portal only recognizes the email registered with your school.

  4. If none of these work, contact your school's health or front office to confirm which email is on file and ask them to verify your account is active.


I'm logged in but my portal is empty or I don't see any forms

If you log in successfully but don't see any health forms or enrollment tasks:

  1. Your school may not have opened enrollment yet for the upcoming year. Forms typically become available a few weeks before the start of the school year.

  2. Check that you're logged in with the email linked to the correct student. If you have multiple children at different schools, each may have a separate portal link.

  3. Reach out to your school's health or front office to confirm that your account is set up and enrollment is open.


I'm having trouble submitting a form

If you're getting an error when trying to submit:

  1. Look for any fields highlighted in red β€” these are required and must be filled in before submitting.

  2. If you're uploading a document (such as a physical form), make sure it is a PDF or image file (JPG or PNG) and is under 10MB.

  3. If the form still won't submit, take a screenshot of the error and contact your school's health office or reach out to August Schools Support.
