Ready to send a packet out to parents/guardians in August Schools? This article walks through the process of creating a new batch of packet requests.
Creating a Form Packet Batch
Navigate to the Forms tab. Select the "Packets" page.
βClick into the desired packet.
Click on the "Request forms" button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
βFill in the appropriate fields on the batch request:
Title: this is the title of the batch that is displayed to users internally
Subjects: those to be included in the batch (section, group, or individuals)
Need to send to your whole school or district? Create a group with all students!
If a group or section of students is selected, you will have two additional settings:
Refresh nightly?: If enabled, will create requests for any new members of the selected sections and archive requests for any members who are no longer in the selected sections
Stop refresh date: Date that the packet should stop regenerating nightly. Nightly refresh will continue indefinitely if no date is provided
Request Type: defaults to the packet
Allow re-submissions: allows the recipient(s) of the form(s) to resubmit the forms (if needed). We recommended enabling this for packets, in case the recipient(s) need to modify or resubmit any of the forms.
Request message:
Title: subject of email sent to the guardian(s) of the subject students
We recommend using a title such as "Health Registration [[School Year]]."
Description: body of the email sent to guardians
Due Date:
This is an optional field. If a due date is not entered, guardians will not have a deadline presented to them.
Recipients can submit forms after the due date has passed for active requests.
Send initial message to recipients?
Check this box if you want an August email notification to be sent to the recipients of the request.
Leave this box unchecked if you will be sending the communication from the school directly with a link to the health registration (as provided by your implementation specialist)
Send reminders to recipients?
Check this box if you want an August reminder notification to be sent to the recipients of the request.
When setting up these reminders, you can use a combination of the following:
Relative date(s): Reminders will be sent on specific time intervals before or after the due date.
Specific date(s): Reminders will be sent on specific dates indicated.
Recurring schedule: Reminders will be sent on a regular basis from the scheduled selected (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly).
Leave this box unchecked if you will be sending communication from your school directly.
Click "Submit" and the subjects in your request will be visible under the "All enrollments" and "All batches" tabs.
