Additional Ways to Share Exported Student Emergency Information

When an export of student information has generated, there are additional ways to share this information as needed with other individuals, such as emergency personnel and healthcare providers.

From the Platform

On the Emergences > Information page, when you open your export of student emergency information, you can select the 'Send message' button to send this information to a recipient of your choice.

Doing so open a pop-up window in which you can:

  • Type in a message to accompany the delivery of the export.

  • Select a recipient from known users in the platform, or

  • Enter the contact information for a recipient who is not a known user in the platform.

Select 'Confirm' in the pop-up window to send the export to the recipient.

From the Portal

Once you have accessed your student emergency information, you are able to further share the information by:

  • Email

  • SMS (text)

  • Fax

The button for each of the above communication methods are available in the 'Student data export' section of the export page:

Email

Select the 'Send via email' button to expose the 'Send via email' section.

Enter the recipient's first and last name, email address, and a message for the body of the email before selecting the 'Send email' button. Note: Only the email address is required.

SMS

Select the 'Send via SMS' button to expose the 'Send via SMS' section.

Enter the recipient's first and last name, cell phone number, and a message for the body of the SMS before selecting the 'Send SMS' button. Note: Only the phone number is required.

Fax

Select the 'Send via fax' button to expose the 'Send via fax' section.

Enter the recipient's first and last name and fax number before selecting the 'Send fax' button. Note: Only the fax number is required.
