Timing matters when sending form requests to families. The "Schedule for later" feature lets you set up a batch form request in advance and choose exactly when it will be sent, so you can plan ahead without having to be at your desk at the right moment. This is especially helpful for requests that need to go out on a weekend, over the summer, or during a specific enrollment window.
Why schedule a batch form request?
Send forms at the optimal time without manual intervention
Plan form outreach in advance during busy periods
Coordinate form timing with other communications or events
How to use it:
Go to your form or packet, click Request Forms.
Set up your batch as you normally would, select your recipients, and any other settings.
Scroll down to find the "Schedule for later?" checkbox and check it.
A date and time picker will appear. Select the date and time on which you want the request to go out.
Click Submit. Your batch is now scheduled and will send automatically at the time you chose.
π‘ Tip: You can see your scheduled batch and its send time from the batch detail page, where you'll also find a "Send now" button if you ever want to send it earlier than planned.
βBest Practices:
Schedule form requests to go out early in the school day (e.g., 8:30 AM) so families have the full day to respond
Use the due date field alongside scheduling to give families a clear response window
Pair with the "Send reminders to recipients?" option for follow-up on incomplete responses
