Creating an Enrollment Batch

This article will walk you through the steps for creating your batch for enrollment/registration.

Ready to send your Enrollment Portal out to parents/guardians in August Schools? This article walks through the process of creating a new batch of health enrollment packet requests.

Creating an Enrollment Batch

  1. Navigate to the Forms tab. Select the "Packets" page.

  2. Click into the desired Enrollment packet.

  3. "Create request batch" in the upper right hand corner of the page.

  4. Fill in the appropriate fields on the batch request:

    1. Title: this is the title of the batch that is displayed to nurses internally

    2. Subjects: those to be included in the batch (section, group, or individuals)

      1. Need to send to your whole school or district? Create a group with all students!

        1. If a group or section of students is selected, you will have two additional settings:

          1. Refresh nightly?: If enabled, will create requests for any new members of the selected sections and archive requests for any members who are no longer in the selected sections

          2. Stop refresh date: Date that the packet should stop regenerating nightly. Nightly refresh will continue indefinitely if no date is provided

    3. Request Type: defaults to the packet

    4. Due Date:

      1. Setting a due date will generate automatic alerts on the following cadence ahead of the set due date: 7 days, 4 days, 2 days, 1 day.

      2. If a due date is not entered, guardians will not have a deadline presented to them.

    5. Request message:

      1. Title: subject of email sent to the guardian(s) of the subject students

        • We recommend using a title such as "Health Registration [[School Year]]."

        • Description: body of the email sent to guardians

    6. Send alert to recipients

      1. Check this box if you wish August to send notification

      2. Leave this box unchecked if you will be sending the communication from the school directly with a link to the health registration (as provided by your implementation specialist)

  5. Click "Submit" and the subjects in your request will be visible under the "All enrollments" and "All batches" tabs.
