We have released great additions and improvements across the Medications feature set that will allow users to better document the important types of information on student medications, clinic medications, and medication administrations!

Changes to Student Medications

A new "Ordered dosage" field that allows user to specify the dosage of the medication that was prescribed by the ordering physician:

You can now add an Expiration date for a medication such as an Epi-pen or an Inhaler to keep track of those dates.

A simplified form for As-needed doses that reflects the true amount of information needed to inform these ad-hoc administrations in the future:

Changes to Clinic Medications

A new "Requires OTC Consent" field that allows the user to link the entry for the medication on the Medications -> Inventory page to the OTC permissions set for the student (e.g., Advil 100 mg tablet on the Medications > Inventory now corresponds to the Ibuprofen (Motrin/Advil) OTC consent that the parent gave).

Changes to Medication Administrations

Displaying additional information on the medication when the user administers the medication so that the user can easily reference is.

New "Administered form" and "Administered route" fields that allows users to capture the true how the medication was administered to student, especially when it deviates from a the usual administration route and form of the medication.
