When building Form Requests and Form Request Packets, users may want to auto-populate the name(s) of the student and/or the recipient (e.g., parent) in different places. Instead of always using a generic "your student," for example, users can use merge fields and the platform will populate the student's information based on to whom the Form Request or Form Request Packet was sent.
How to use:
Start typing the curly bracket aka { and the merge field options will appear.
You can use the following merge fields to populate the corresponding information on the Form Request or Form Request Packet:
Instance name - Populates the full name of the school or school district as it appears within the August School platform or portal
Viewer full name - Populates the name of the person viewing the form request or form request packet
Subject full name - Populates the full name of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject full name - Populates the first name of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject last name - Populates the first name of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject short name - Populates the chosen first name of the student who is the subject of the form request or form request packet, if one exists on the student record, or the first name of the student, plus the initial of their first last name.
Subject date of birth - Populates the date of birth of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject boarding status - Populates the boarding status (boarding or day) of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject gender - Populates the gender of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject date of birth - Populates the date of birth of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject graduation year - Populates the graduation year of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject grade level - Populates the grade level of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Subject international status - Populates the international status of the subject of the form request or form request packet
Form request title - Populates the title of the form request or form request packet
