We have developed a new feature that allows August Schools enrollment form request packet statuses to update the corresponding Blackbaud Student Checklist Step for a student. In this way, parents' progress in August Schools can be reflected in Blackbaud without a manual update by either the parents or school staff. You can also make available your school's Blackbaud SSO link for August Schools on the Student Checklist Step that corresponds with the completion of the Enrollment Form Request Packet so that parents can be redirected and authenticated to the August Schools Portal from within Blackbaud.
Note: Your August Schools instance needs to be connected to your Blackbaud SIS prior to following this guidance. If you are still at a point in implementation where this connection has not yet been made, please wait.
Additionally, you will need the Nurse role in August Schools in order to follow this guidance.
Setting Up the Blackbaud Integration
Step One: Navigate to the Enrollment > Configure Page.
When you navigate to Enrollment > Configure page, you will see an entry for the Form Request Packet(s) that is/are being used as Enrollment Form Request Packets. Locate the 'Blackbaud checklist steps' field on the entry.
Step Two: Click into the 'Blackbaud checklist steps' dropdown menu to display the active Student Checklists in your Blackbaud instance.
Toggle down the entry for the appropriate Student Checklist to reveal the Checklist Steps.
Step Three: Select the Checklist Step that corresponds with completing the Enrollment Form Request Packet.
Doing so will populate the name of the checklist step in the 'Blackbaud checklist steps' fields.
You may choose more than one Checklist Step in this field if there are more than one Student Checklists that involve completing Enrollment Form Request Packets.
Example of the Blackbaud Integration
In the following example, the student's Enrollment Form Request Packet is complete, as all form requests within the packet have been completed by the parent and accepted by a user such as one with the Nurse role.
As such, the Status of the corresponding Checklist Step for the student is now also 'Completed.'

SSO Link on Checklist Step
In Blackbaud's Enrollment Management module, when you edit the Student Checklist Steps that corresponds with completing the Enrollment Form Request Packet, you can add your existing Blackbaud SSO link for August Schools in the 'Link' field and add an appropriate label in the 'Ink text' field.
