Overview
Sometimes you need to adjust a packet's rules after it's already been sent to families or students, maybe a question needs to change, or a form should surface for a different grad year. The Re-Evaluate Rules button lets you make those updates and apply them to packets that are already live, instead of starting over.
This article and the video below walk through how to update a rule and re-run it across your active packets.
Why use Re-Evaluate Rules?
Update live packets without resending: adjust rules after forms are already out with families or students
Fix rule logic on the fly: change the question or condition a rule depends on
Applies everywhere at once: re-evaluates rules across all active packets automatically
Steps
Open the packet and go to the Supplemental Request Rules tab.
Open the rule you want to update (e.g., the Asthma Action Plan rule).
Make your edit, for example, switching the question the rule is based on from the asthma question to the inhaler question.
Click Re-Evaluate Rules.
š” Tip: Use this whenever you need to change which question surfaces a form, or adjust which grad year a form is pushed to, after forms have already been sent out.
What happens next
Once you click Re-Evaluate Rules, the updated rule is rerun across all active packets, not just the one you edited. Depending on how many packets are currently live, this can take up to 30 minutes to an hour to finish processing.
Once it's done, your packets will be updated, and the correct forms will be live in the system for the affected families or students.
