Overview
When a parent submits medication details using the standard Medication form (not Med Lite), they choose whether the medication should be administered by the school clinic. Occasionally, a parent selects "No" to school administration but forgets to uncheck the box confirming the school clinic should give the dose — leaving the submission in a conflicting state.
Steps
Open the medication submission that needs to be corrected.
Click Edit Submission at the top of the page.
Scroll down to find the checkbox confirming the dose should be administered by the school clinic.
Uncheck this box.
Click Save New Response.
💡 Tip: Saving doesn't overwrite the original submission — it creates a new response. You'll see the original (with the box checked) below, and the corrected version at the top.
Scroll down to confirm the box is no longer checked, then approve the medication.
Once approved, the medication will be saved as a home med instead of a school med.
Confirming the Change
To verify the update:
Go to the student's profile.
Find the medication in question.
Confirm it's now listed as a home med rather than a school-administered med.
