Updated over a week ago

Encounters are how users document each incident of support in the August Schools platform. Encounters leverage encounter templates, which dictate the types of information are solicited and in what manner on the encounter. Encounter templates consist of notes, which allow the users to input the solicited information. Each note template consists of one or more default forms, which hold the fields that the user will actually input information into. This article outlines how users can designate which default notes are present on a note template.

Step One: Navigate to the Encounters > Templates page.

Step Two: Select the 'Notes' tab of the page.

Step Three: Select the row for the note template you wish to edit from the table.

You may also select the 'Filters' button narrow down the table by template or creator to find the template.

Once you click on the row in the table for the appropriate note template, the page will refresh onto an individual page for the note template. It will show the default note for the encounter template.

Adding a New Default Note

To add an additional default form to the note template, select the 'Add default form' button.

Doing so will open a pop-up window, whose 'Form template' field will allow you to select one of the available form templates to add to the note.

Once you have select your desired form template, select the 'Confirm' button.

Removing a Default Note

To remove an existing default form to the note template, select the 'Remove default form' button on the form.
