How to: Set Medication(s) to Inactive

In this article you will be able to remove/inactivate a medication from the Student card.

Updated over a year ago

If a student is no longer taking a medication, marking it as inactive will remove it from your medication administration list permanently. You will follow the below steps to inactivate/delete a medication from the student card and administration sections.

Please note: This is not to skip a single dosage for a single day. See how to mark a medication administration as skipped here.

Setting Medication(s) to Inactive

  1. Navigate to the Medications>Inventory tab located on the left rail

  2. Scroll down to Student medications

  3. Click on the filter funnel to filter for your specific student

  4. Check the box to the left of your student name associated with the row on which the medication is listed

  5. Select the "Inactive" status through the Set status button

  6. Your medication will now have an Inactive status as shown here and be removed from the Student card and Administration schedules
