How to set medication permissions within a student card

Updated over a week ago

Adding OTC medication permissions to the student card in August Schools will allow you and other nurses on your team to quickly see what medications are permitted by the parent/guardian. This article walks through each step to add these permissions.

Setting OTC Medication Permissions

  1. To set OTC permissions for your student, you will need to access the Medications tab within their Student card.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Medication page and click on the Edit OTC permissions button.

  3. Here you will have the option to select Yes for all OTC meds, No for no OTC meds or click within the Allowed OTC medications to select from the list of available OTC meds for selectable specific permissions.

  4. Once you click within the Allowed OTC medications you will see a list to select from. This list is scrollable for additional selections.

  5. Once you have completed your OTC permissions selection, please click Save OTC permissions and you will be set.
